Who is she?

I have been professionally treating individuals who have experienced trauma (domestic violence, physical, mental and sexual abuse), childhood traumas, and/or those diagnosed with a substance abuse disorder for more than four years. I especially enjoy working and treating individuals who
might suffer from low self-esteem and depression.

I enjoy putting together safe and family friendly events for clients, their families, and the community. I want you to develop team-building skills, find your creativity, and have some fun while we get down to your mental health business. I regularly volunteer with the Food Bank of DE to provide food packages to patients who are in need of food, resources during the holidays, and the soup kitchen to provide soup during dosing hours at the facility.

Background

My area of specialization includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Domestic Violence, Cognitive Processing Therapy to address trauma and PTSD, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Contingency Management Approach, Anger Management and working experience with symptoms of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/worthlessness, Bipolar and Borderline Personality disorder.

My clients can expect to receive person-centered treatment, utilizing a holistic approach. By providing support that looks at the whole person, not just their mental health needs — you can expect support that will address your physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing. For example, if an individual is in need of transportation or housing, I will work with them to figure out resources and help them obtain the services they need. I will help you to identify your strengths, needs, abilities and preferences in treatment. We will then develop a treatment plan with goals, methods and interventions that are measurable to help you achieve your goals. I will meet you where you are in your recovery and help you address any barriers that are affecting your treatment in order to be successful.

Depending on which therapy is right for you, I run both Group Therapy and/or Individualized Therapy (one-on-one).
